Hi, I’m Kyla.
I am a queer somatic coach, musician and teacher living in Oakland, California. I discovered somatics many years ago when my own healing journey led me to seek out a modality that would help me “get out of my head” and feel more deeply. I believe that the client/coach relationship is a true partnership—one that involves consent, trust-building, and an acknowledgment of cultural differences that might be relevant in our work together. I am certified as a somatic coach with the Strozzi Institute. It is an honor to be able to support folks in their own journeys with an approach that I truly believe in.
“Kyla’s work is profoundly helpful. Working through the body helped me identify thoughts and patterns I was never aware of – even after many years of talk therapy. More importantly, Kyla gave me practices that have helped me stay connected to my new awareness. Kyla is gifted in her work, and I feel fortunate that she shared that gift with me.”

“Kyla has a natural way of holding space for others. She has a wonderful, warm energy and her presence during our sessions had a significant impact on my experience of life. I went through several significant life transitions during my work with her and our sessions helped me get closer to what I've been yearning for. She is very gifted as a coach and I would recommend her to anyone looking for some warm, supportive and embodied somatic coaching!”
